Four products off one coconut husk.

Specifications below are our standard grades. Most of them can be adjusted — particle size, fill weight, conductivity target, buffering — against a crop and a growing system. Tell us yours.

Product 01

Cocopeat blocks

Washed, dried and graded coir pith compressed at roughly five to one. The compression is the point: a 5 kg block is a fraction of the freight volume of the substrate it becomes, and it rehydrates to 70–75 litres in a tub of water.

Our standard grade is washed to a conductivity of 0.5 mS/cm or lower, which suits most nursery and greenhouse work straight out of the block. For sodium-sensitive crops we supply calcium-buffered stock and state the treatment on the certificate.

Product 02

Grow bags

Ready-to-plant substrate in a sealed sleeve. The grower cuts the planting slots, runs a dripper in, and skips the mixing, wetting and filling entirely.

We fill grow bags with the medium fraction rather than the fine pith that goes into blocks. Over a full cropping season under constant irrigation, that coarser grade keeps air moving around the root zone instead of slowly compacting into a wet mat.

Bags are perforated on the line, heat sealed, weighed individually and labelled with a QR code that resolves to the batch analysis.

Coir fibre

The structural half of the husk. Fibre comes off the decorticator before anything is washed, gets shaken free of residual pith dust, air dried and baled to a consistent export density.

We separate two working grades. Long fibre holds its tensile strength and goes to rope, matting, brush and geotextile. Shorter mixed bristle suits erosion-control blankets, mattress and upholstery filling, and horticultural growth media blends.

Fibre we do not sell is not wasted — it burns in the biomass furnace that heats our own dryer.

Product 04

Coco compost

Coir pith blended with nitrogen-rich farm residue, inoculated, and composted in turned windrows until it is genuinely stable. It takes eight to twelve weeks and there is no way to hurry it.

This matters more than it sounds. Raw coir pith arrives at roughly a hundred parts carbon to one part nitrogen. Dug into a field at that ratio it does not feed the soil — it competes with the crop for nitrogen while it slowly breaks down. Composting fixes the ratio before the material reaches a grower, not after.

We test for stability rather than assuming it. Compost still respiring hard will keep working inside a sealed bag and can burn young roots.

Made to your specification

Most of these numbers are adjustable.

Standard grades cover most requirements. Where they don't, these are the levers we can move on a production run.

Conductivity target

Washed lower than 0.5 mS/cm where a crop demands it, at the cost of additional wash cycles and water.

Calcium buffering

Treated with calcium nitrate to displace sodium and potassium off the exchange sites, for low-sodium crops and long-cycle hydroponics.

Particle size blend

Fine, medium, coarse chips or a defined ratio between them, screened to your air-to-water balance.

Format & branding

Block dimensions, bag sleeve size, fill weight, and printed film or labels carrying your own brand.

Send us a specification and we'll quote against it.

Crop, growing system, container format, volume and destination port are usually enough for us to come back with a grade, a sample plan and a price.
